With Livestorm, it's very easy to manage your event access settings and make private events with restricted access. You can define who can register and access your registration page and your event room. It ensures that your content is exclusive and that only relevant people can view it. It also simplifies collaboration by providing easy access with more privacy, giving you full control over permission and access within one workspace. This could be very useful for events such as paid classes, internal meetings, recruitment meetings, business reviews, and much more!
Only the admin can set up the event access settings.
The event access settings will be applied to all event sessions at the same time.
When duplicating an event, your event access settings will be kept. 🙌

You can set up your event access settings allowing Access or No access to people outside your workspace and/or everyone at your company from 4 different places:
- when creating a new event
- in your dashboard Settings > General
- in your dashboard by clicking on the Share event button
- in your event room by clicking on the Share event button
Have People Attend a Private Event Without Registering in Advance
Your attendees can join a private event that has no registration page (hidden from the public) without having to register in advance. You first need to allow them access in the event access settings.
Then, you need to make sure your registration page is disabled (which is the default setting) in Settings > Registration.
You can share the event link with people with access and they will be able to register directly from the room before joining the event.
Allow Access to Your Event to All Team Members Only
You can create an event only accessible to all your team members and restricted to everyone else. In that case, you need to set up your event access settings as follows:
It is still possible to invite people from outside your workspace to attend the event by adding them manually one by one.
Your team members will be able to assign themselves to all events they have access to from their dashboard.
Allow Access to Your Event to Specific Team Members Only
You might want to allow access to your event to specific team members only and restrict the event to everyone else. In that case, you need to set up your event access settings as follows and add your selected team members one by one.
The event will be hidden on the dashboard from everyone in your workspace except for the team members you selected.
It is still possible to invite people from outside your workspace to attend the event by adding them manually one by one.
Allow Access to Your Event to Selected People Outside Your Workspace Only
Your event can be restricted to everyone except selected people outside your workspace. In that case, you need to set up your event access settings as follows.
The event will be hidden on the dashboard for everyone in your workspace.
Then, you need to register people manually one by one by clicking on the Share event button (either from the dashboard or from the event room).
It is not possible to register people manually in bulk.
Share the Event Link of a Private Event With People With No Access
When sharing the link of a private event with people that aren't allowed to access it, the following message will be displayed.
Share the Registration Page of a Private Event to People With No Access
When the registration page of a private event is enabled, people who aren't allowed to access it will not see any button to register or a field to fill in.
If the access was previously allowed and you've decided to restrict it at one point, your registrants will still be able to have their access link resent from the registration page.
Create a Private Event via the API
If you create an event via the API, the default access settings will be applied, giving no access to people outside your workspace access and access to all your team members. To create a private event, you will need to change the settings manually from the dashboard (or from the event room).
Access to a Private Event Data
Team Members have access to the dashboard Event list > Export and will be able to download all of the events, even ones the users don't have access to.
