Turn Your Events into Shareable Clips with Livestorm AI Studio

Beta - Livestorm AI Studio is currently in beta. Features, limits, and UI may evolve based on user feedback.

Livestorm AI Studio turns the recording of your events into a library of short, ready-to-share video clips. Instead of spending hours scrubbing through a one-hour webinar to find the best moments, AI Studio analyzes the transcript and the video, picks the strongest highlights, and produces vertical or square clips you can post on social media or anywhere else your audience lives.

Specifications for AI Studio

  • AI Studio works on any session that has been recorded in Livestorm, including live sessions, on-demand events, and uploaded recordings.

  • The session must be fully processed (status Ended) before highlights can be generated.

  • AI Studio currently supports 7 source languages: "en","fr","es","de","nl","pt","ca” Transcripts, subtitles, and AI-generated clip titles are produced in the detected source language. Recordings in other languages cannot be processed in beta.

  • Highlights are produced as MP4 video (1080p), with an accompanying MP3 audio track and SRT subtitles file.

  • The number of highlights per session and the clip length range can be set in the Generate Highlights form (see Configure Your Highlights)

  • AI Studio does not edit the original event recording. Highlights are exported as separate files.

  • Clips are stored in your workspace and accessible at any time from the AI Studio tab.

Access Livestorm AI Studio#

There are two entry points to AI Studio:

  • From a specific session → to generate new highlights from that recording.

  • From the AI Studio tab in the left navigation → to browse all your past highlights and clips across every session.

Generate Highlights from a Session#

1 From your dashboard, open the event that contains the session you want to clip.

2 In the sessions list, click on the session whose recording you want to use.

3 In the session view, click on the Clips tab (marked New).

4 Click on the Create clips button.

You'll land on the Generate Highlights configuration screen.

Configure your Highlights#

Livestorm Generate Highlights configuration form

1 Under Highlights, choose the number of clips to generate.

Count — Maximum number of clips AI Studio will produce. Up to 10 in beta.

2 Set the Highlight Length.

Highlight Length — Each clip will fall within this range.

3 Toggle Allow highlights to overlap on or off.

When this is on, AI Studio is allowed to pick two clips that share a few seconds of the same source footage, useful if the best moment of the recording could be cut multiple ways. When off, every clip uses a distinct part of the recording.

Choose a Tone of Voice#

The tone you pick guides how AI Studio writes the title of each clip. You can always rewrite titles manually after generation.

Add Keywords (optional)#

The Keywords section lets you steer the AI toward (or away from) specific topics.

  • Keywords to include: AI Studio will prioritize moments where speakers mention these terms. Useful when you want clips focused on a product name, a campaign theme, or a specific concept.

  • Keywords to avoid: AI Studio will skip moments centered on these terms. Useful for filtering out small-talk, sponsor mentions, or off-topic tangents.

  • Custom vocabulary: Names, acronyms, or jargon that should be spelled correctly in transcripts and subtitles (e.g., your company name, product names, technical terms the AI might mis-transcribe).

4 Click Generate highlights at the bottom right.

Livestorm Tip 👉 You can leave all keyword fields empty and the AI will pick highlights based on its own scoring. Start without keywords on your first run, then refine with keywords if the results don't match what you wanted.

Track the Generation Status#

After you click Generate highlights, processing starts in the background. You don't need to keep the tab open.

1 Open the AI Studio tab in the left navigation.

2 On the Session Highlights tab, you'll see a row for each generation job with its current status:

3 When generation finishes, the owner of the session will receive an email notification with a View Highlights button that opens the clips directly.

Processing time depends on the length of the source recording and current workload.

Review Your Highlights#

1 From the AI Studio list, click the eye icon on a row, or click View Highlights in the email.

2 You'll see all the clips generated from that session, ranked by an internal quality score (out of 100). Higher = AI Studio is more confident the moment will perform well.

Each highlight card displays:

  • The quality score (e.g., 99/100)

  • The duration

  • Auto-generated tags (topics and themes the AI detected)

  • An Edit button to fine-tune the clip

3 From this screen you can also:

  • Click Export subs to download subtitles for all highlights at once.

  • Click Export Markers to download the timestamps as chapter markers (useful if you want to re-edit in your own video tool).

  • Use the filter icon to narrow the list by tag, duration, or speaker.

  • Video Layout: Choose the output aspect ratio and how the speaker frame is positioned.

The timeline at the bottom lets you trim the clip's start and end frames with sub-second precision.
