Set Up Your HubSpot Integration

HubSpot is a platform that offers marketing, sales, customer service, and CRM software.

For the complete overview of our integration with HubSpot, feel free to read our dedicated article.

By connecting Livestorm and HubSpot together you can automatically send attendees/registrants' data from Livestorm to your sales pipeline. This is great to make sure that your sales team will follow up on the leads you generate via your events.

Set up HubSpot With Livestorm

1
Go to your Apps menu and then select the HubSpot card.

3
Then, you need to Connect your HubSpot account with Livestorm.

As we launched a new version of this integration, if you've already had HubSpot enabled before March 29th 2021 you will see an Update button instead of a Connect one.

4
You are then redirected to your HubSpot Accounts.

5
Select the account you want to connect with Livestorm and click on Connect app.

6
You're taken back to the HubSpot integration card and you can see you are "Connected".
7
Check the "Automatically enable this integration for new events" box if you want it to be applied to each future event.

8
Select the "Automation rules" you need. You can also take a look at our article about mapping the contact attributes between Livestorm and HubSpot

If you've already had HubSpot enabled before March 29th 2021, your previous automation rules will be applied the same way. You can modify them if you need or leave them the way they are.

9
Now that your HubSpot integration is configured, you can enable it and you're all set! 🎉

The HubSpot integration you've just set up will not be enabled by default on events previously created. You need to enable it manually on each event.

Create Automation Rules

The automation rules will help you create workflows to enrich your HubSpot database according to your registrants/attendees' behavior:

  • Attended a live event (each time someone attends one of your events)
    • In the HubSpot UI, the filter is named "Livestorm: Event Ended Properties", showing you the contacts who attended your Livestorm events based on the date and time of attendance, the event name, the event link, attendance rate or engagement data.
  • Registered for an event (each time someone registers to one of your events via the registration page, widget, Zapier...)
    • In the HubSpot UI, the filter is named "Livestorm: Attendee Registered Properties" , showing you the contacts who registered to your Livestorm events based on the date and time of registration, the event name, the event link or a specific session date and time.
  • Watched the recording of an event (each time someone watches the recording of one of your events)
    • In the HubSpot UI, the filter is named "Livestorm: Watch Replay Properties", showing you the contacts who watched your events' replays.
  • Watched an on-demand event (each time someone watches one of your on-demand events
    • In the HubSpot UI, the filter is named "Livestorm: Watch Replay On Demand Properties" , showing you the contacts who watched your on demand events.

Actions available (what will happen on HubSpot):

  • Create a new contact when someone...

If the contact already exists, it won't be created a 2nd time.

The following Livestorm registration fields will be mapped with HubSpot's ones: first name, last name, email, and company.

  • Create a new company when someone...

If an existing company is already linked to your contact in HubSpot, a new company won't be created.

  • Create a new deal when someone...

If an existing deal is already linked to your contact in HubSpot, a new deal won't be created.

  • Create a timeline event when someone...

Disconnect HubSpot from Livestorm

Option 1: in your Livestorm account

1
Go to your Apps menu and then select the HubSpot card.

3
Then, you need to disconnect your HubSpot account from Livestorm.

4
Click on confirm disconnection to confirm you want to disable the integration between Livestorm and HubSpot.

Your HubSpot account is now disconnected from your Livestorm workspace.

Option 2: in your HubSpot account

To uninstall the Livestorm app directly from your HubSpot account, please refer to the dedicated article on the HubSpot Knowledge Base.

People registering and attending your Livestorm events won't be added as contacts in HubSpot anymore. Deals, companies and contact timeline activities won't be created anymore unless you decide to reactivate the integration. However, any data transferred before you deactivated the integration will remain available in your HubSpot account.
