Have you ever wanted to manage registration directly from your LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms captured data without going through the Livestorm registration pages? Then you've come to the right place! Discover how to integrate a LinkedIn Lead Gen Form with Livestorm: no more CSV import, no more Zapier required!
This integration involves only the LinkedIn Lead Gen Form (Ads), which requires using your LinkedIn Campaign Manager with an Ad Account.
This differs from an integration with LinkedIn Event Registration Form, which can only be done through Zapier (for integrating with a LinkedIn Event, please refer to this article).
1
Go to your LinkedIn Campaign Manager (be sure your Ad Account is already configured): https://www.linkedin.com/campaignmanager/accounts
2
Select your Ad Account and go to the “Lead generation forms” section.
3
Create a new Lead Gen Form (see here how to do it) or use an existing one.
4
Then apply the following settings for your form fields.
Required & custom fields#
Ensure your form includes at least those 3 required fields: First Name, Last Name, Email Address.
You can add any custom questions you want.
Hidden fields#
Add a first Hidden Field named "Livestorm Session ID" (or a similar identifiable name).
This field must be the first hidden field in the form.
Pre-fill it with the Session ID from Livestorm that you want your Leads to be registered to.
Set Up The Integration In Livestorm#
Step 1: Connect your LinkedIn account#
Go to the Marketplace (ask the precise URL to your Customer Success Manager) and Sign-in (top right) using your Livestorm account.
Locate the LinkedIn Lead Gen app and click on Enable to start the setup.
Proceed with the LinkedIn authentication by entering your LinkedIn credentials (the LinkedIn account that manages the Lead Gen Form) and accept the scopes asked by Livestorm.
After a successful authentication, you will be redirected to the field mapping screen, where you can match your LinkedIn form fields with Livestorm registrant fields.
The Form must be in "Active" status.
Forms with a “Rejected” status will not work.
Once the form is selected, all the Livestorm registration fields of the session will be fetched dynamically. Be sure to have the right registration fields configured on your Livestorm event.
Map your LinkedIn form fields to the corresponding Livestorm registration fields. Be sure to have the email address correctly mapped to the LinkedIn "Email Address": this is the most important step to ensure the creation of the registrant.
Step 3: Finalize the Integration#
Click Next and then Save to finish the setup: the LinkedIn form is now listed under your active integrations 🎉.
If you need to connect several Lead Gen Forms, just repeat the process by choosing another form. You can have as many LinkedIn integrations as you want running at the same time.
Frequently Asked Questions#
How can I test the connection between the form and Livestorm before running my LinkedIn Campaign?
Go to your Lead Gen form list, click on the three dots next to your form and select Send Test Lead.
Submit a test lead by filling the form fields correctly.
Within a few minutes, check your Livestorm new registrant in your session.
Why the data transfer is not working for this specific Lead Gen form?
You should check the status of your form. Only active forms can be used. If your form is rejected, please review LinkedIn’s guidelines to correct or create a new one.
Why I can't directly see the registrants on my Livestorm session?
We rely on LinkedIn’s server delivery and may take a few minutes for Leads to appear.
Can I connect several LinkedIn Lead Gen Form at the same time on my account?
Yes, you can! Just add a new integration by clicking on the button "Setup another".
I have several LinkedIn connectors active on my Livestorm Marketplace: how can I organise them better?
You can rename each connector to help you find your way around the list. We recommend that you include the name of your Lead Gen Form for greater clarity. However, be careful not to connect the same Lead Gen Form several times.
