Use the Timer in Your Event Room

Once you've enabled the Timer app, it's very easy to use it in your room. How does this work?

Only team members can set the Timer.

The team member who starts the Timer is the only one who can control it.

1
Click on the Apps icon inside your event room.

2
Select the Timer app in the list of your enabled room apps.

3
The Timer will open in the sidebar allowing you to set it up.

4
Set the duration of your Timer by pressing on the - or + or by modifying manually the numbers (by clicking on them).

5
Choose the visibility of your Timer:
  • Team members only
  • Team members and guest speakers only
  • Everyone

By default, the Timer is displayed to team members only.

6
Add music that would play when the Timer starts or choose no music at all.
You can listen to the songs by clicking on the Play button.
By default, the Timer won't play any music.

7
You might want to take the Timer out of the sidebar and display it somewhere else on your screen while you're presenting.

Minimizing the Timer and displaying it somewhere else will only affect your display.

8
Now that your Timer is set up, click on the Start button! 🎉
After starting the Timer, you will not be able to change the music or who can see it, so make sure you chose the right settings.

The Timer will then be automatically displayed for your attendees who will be able to see the countdown and control the volume.

9
Once the Timer has started, you can:

  1. Mute the music (only for yourself)
  2. Add more minutes
  3. Pause it
  4. Stop it before the end

If you close the Timer when it's running, you will see a notification on the Apps icon.

10
When the countdown is over, your attendees will hear a notification and the Timer will close on their side.
