All attendees can send direct messages to each other during your event if you've enabled the Direct Messages app on your account from the App marketplace.

Enable Direct Messages in Your Event Room
To be able to send direct messages to attendees during your event, you first need to enable the Direct Messages app.

- Go to the App marketplace either from your dashboard or by clicking on the Apps icon inside your event room.

- Click on the Direct Messages card you want to enable.

- Enable the app.

- Your Direct Messages app is now activated in your event room! 🎉
Send a Direct Message to an Attendee
Once you've enabled the Direct Messages app, there are 3 ways to send a direct message to an attendee.
Direct Messages won't be displayed in your exports for privacy reasons.

- You can send a direct message to an attendee by clicking on the Direct Message icon in the Chat tab.

- In the Chat tab, you can also send a direct message to an attendee by clicking on the ⋮ next to the name of the attendee you wish to write to, then Send a direct message, type your message, and click on Enter.

- Sending a direct message is also possible from the People tab, by clicking on the ⋮ next to the name of the attendee you wish to write to and then Send a direct message, type your message, and click on Enter.
Delete a Direct Message Sent to an Attendee
To delete a direct message that you've sent to an attendee:

- Click on the ⋮ next to the message you want to delete.

- Click on Delete message.
