Livestorm Labs is where you can explore features our team is actively developing. They have not been officially released yet, so you get to try them early and tell us what works and what does not. Your feedback shapes each feature before it reaches everyone. In this article, we'll see why Labs is worth trying, how to turn a feature on or off, and how to send us feedback.

Why use Labs#

Where to find Labs#
1 Click your avatar in the bottom left corner and select Settings.
2 Select Labs in the sidebar.
You will see every experimental feature currently available, with a short description of what it does.

Everyone on your team can open this page and see what is available. Only admins and workspace owners can turn a feature on or off.
How to turn a feature on#
1 Go to Settings > Labs.
2 Find the feature you want to try and switch the toggle on.
3 That's it. The feature is available straight away.

Turning a feature on applies to your whole workspace, not just your own account. Every team member will get the new experience the next time they run an event, so it's worth letting them know before you switch something on.
How to turn a feature off#
1 Go back to Settings > Labs and switch the toggle off.
Your workspace returns to the standard experience immediately. You can turn a feature on and off as many times as you like.
How to send us feedback#
Each feature in Labs has a Give feedback option. Use it to tell us what you liked, what confused you, or what is missing. It goes directly to the product team working on that feature.
This is the fastest way to influence something while it is still being built. Once a feature is fully released, it is much harder to change.
Common questions#
Who can turn a Labs feature on?
Only admins and workspace owners. Every other team member can see the page but cannot change anything.
Does enabling a feature affect my whole team?
Yes. Activation is workspace wide, so everyone gets the new experience. Let your team know beforehand so nobody is surprised mid event.
Can I go back to the old experience?
Yes, at any time, by switching the toggle off.
Will a Labs feature stay available forever?
No. Features in Labs either graduate to a full release or get removed based on what we learn. We will let you know before anything changes.
Is my data safe when I use a Labs feature?
Yes. Labs features run on the same infrastructure and follow the same security and privacy standards as the rest of Livestorm.
