Your IT department might have enforced a new way of authenticating to the third-party applications used internally: the SAML SSO (Security Assertion Markup Language Single Sign-On) authentication. Employees can sign in to third-party services with only one same email and one password thanks to an identity provider. This increases ease of use and security for employees.
Signing up with SAML SSO is available for Business & Enterprise customers as a paid add-on.
The identity provider needs to be compatible with SAML 2.0 protocol. There are 3 main identity providers on the market: Okta, Microsoft Azure Directory, Onelogin. They are all compatible with SAML 2.0 protocol.
1
You will need to create a Livestorm app inside your identity provider's interface.
2
Your Sales Representative will give you technical connection information called the XML certificate to use in order to finish the set-up of the app.
3
You will then need to retrieve the connection information for this new application in the interface of your identity provider often called the Identity provider metadata - and send it to your Sales Representative.
4
Your Sales Representative will finalize the setup and activate the feature on your workspace.Â
SAML SSO can only be activated by your Sales Representative on your Livestorm workspace.
1
Ask the admin of your identity provider to invite your team members to the Livestorm app inside the identity provider.
2
Go to your Livestorm Account Settings > Team Members and invite your team members.
The email addresses of the team members need to be the same as the ones inside the identity provider.
If the team members already exist in your Livestorm workspace, they won't have to sign up again and will be able to directly sign in.
