Follow these steps to create a professional and customized certificate for your Livestorm event using Certifier:
1Go to Certifier and log in to your account (or create one if you don’t already have access).
2Once logged in, click on Designs > Create Design > Certificate Design.
3Use the design editor to create your certificate.
Make sure to leave the [recipient.name] attribute on it if you want to customize the certificate with your attendees' names.
You can:
Use a template to quickly start with a predefined layout.
Add a background by uploading your own image.
Add image elements such as your logo or decorative graphics.
Insert text fields for details like the certificate title, event name, and date.
Add a QR code to allow recipients or third parties to verify the certificate's authenticity.
4Add a name to your certificate and then Save it.
I recommend naming your certificate after your event to keep everything organized. 👌
The certificate you created will be sent through the group you set up in Certifier. By linking your certificate to this group, you ensure that it is issued automatically to the attendees of your event.
1Navigate to the Groups tab in the Certifier dashboard and select Create Group.
2Enter a name for your group and link it to the certificate you created earlier.
3Start testing by pressing the Issue Credentials button.
4Choose Manually one by one, tick the box, and proceed by clicking Add Recipients.
5Under the Credentials section, select Add Recipient and input your name and email address.
6Preview your certificate by clicking Preview before issuing.
7Ensure that the [recipient.name] placeholder has been replaced with your name.
8Confirm the issuance by selecting Issue Credentials.
9Finalize the process by choosing Issue Immediately.
10Check your email inbox and click View Credential to access your certificate.
With a paid Certifier account, you can customize the design of the email sent with your certificate. This allows you to add your branding, logo, and personalized messages for a professional touch.
11On the credential page, you can:
Share your award.
Add it to your LinkedIn profile.
Download it as a PDF.
Verify its authenticity using the Verify Credential feature.

1Go back to Apps > Add connection from the left-hand menu in Zapier.
2In the search bar, type Livestorm and select it from the results.
3You’ll need to provide your Livestorm API key. The instructions will appear in the pop-up.

6That's it! You now have connected both Certifier and Livestorm to Zapier. 🎉
To start automating your certificates, Livestorm must be configured as the trigger in your Zap:
1Create a Zap with the AI Help. Write "When somebody attends a Livestorm event Certifier will send a certificate" and press enter.
2The suggested Zap will appear with Livestorm as the trigger and Certifier as the action. Press Try it.
3The trigger should be set as Registrant Attended, and your Livestorm account should be connected as you've set it up before. Click Continue.
4In the Filter by Event drop-down menu, select the event for which you want the certificate to be sent.
5In the Filter by Session drop-down menu, select the specific session of the event.
6Once your event and session are added, click Continue.
7The trigger is tested and finds registrants, which means the token is working and connected to your Livestorm account. Click Continue with selected record.
After setting up Livestorm as the trigger, configure Certifier as the action to issue certificates:
1Ensure the action is set to Issue Credential, and that your Certifier account is connected as you've set it up before in Zapier. Click Continue.
2Select the group you've set up in Certifier with the certificate attached to it.
3Map the Recipient Name field by typing / and, in the menu, select People First Name and People Last Name.
4Map the Recipient Email field by typing / and, in the menu, select People Email.
5Ensure the Issue Credential and Send Credential fields are set to True. If you only want to generate certificates without sending them, set the Send Credential field to False.
6Set the Issue Date to Session ended at and set an expiry date if you wish the certificate to expire. Click Continue.
7Test your step to ensure everything works as expected. It will send you a test email so you can verify everything ran smoothly.
8The test is successful, so everything is set up in Zapier now and you can Publish your Zap. 🎉
When your event session ends, Zapier will automatically trigger Certifier to send the certificate to your attendees, ensuring a seamless and professional experience for both you and your participants. 👌
Sometimes, attendees may lose their certificate emails or accidentally delete them. Certifier makes it easy to resend certificates when needed. Follow these steps:
1Log in to your Certifier account.
2Navigate to the Credentials section, where you can see the full list of certificates that have been sent, along with the status indicating whether the email has been opened and if the certificate has been accessed.
3Locate the attendee whose certificate you want to resend. You can use the search bar to quickly find their name or email address. Select their name and click on Resend Email to send the certificate again.
4If needed, you can also export the certificate as a PDF.
During this 30-minute live event, we will introduce you to the platform. You will learn how to use Livestorm for your webinars.
