Livestorm Tip 👉 Follow these tutorials to learn how to export your presentation in PDF from Powerpoint and from Keynote. Note that you will not keep the animations.

Share a PDF by Uploading It on Livestorm

You can directly upload your PDF presentation in the event room (up to 4GB) with the Share button on your dock at the bottom of the room. With this feature, you can present slides without leaving your Livestorm window.

We strongly recommend uploading your PDF presentation before you start the event. The upload and processing time can take a little while depending on the size of the presentation.

Don't close the pop-up window while the file is being processed. It could result in bugs.

If your PDF presentation is over 4GB, you must use the screen-sharing method.

1
Click on the Share button and select Share a PDF presentation.
2
Upload your PDF presentation and click on Choose this media.
3
Use the arrows to change slides (you can also use the left & right arrows on your keyboard) or use the slide picker if you need to jump to a specific slide.
4
To remove your PDF presentation click on the X at the top right corner and Confirm.

Share a PDF by Sharing Your Screen

If your PDF presentation exceeds 4GB, you can directly share your screen.

For PDF presentations smaller than 4GB, we strongly recommend using the upload method in the room instead. Indeed, you won't be able to see the room while presenting your presentation by screen sharing if you have only one screen.

1
Click on the Share button, then Share screen.

2
Select the Window tab, select your PDF presentation window and click on Share.

3
Set your PDF presentation window to full screen.
If you have one screen, you can switch from your PDF presentation window to your event room window to see your room, or you can externalize your sidebar to have it on another screen (mobile, tablet).
With one screen, do not minimize your PDF presentation window, otherwise, your attendees won't be able to see it anymore.
If you have a second screen, you can have your event room on one screen and your PDF presentation on the other screen.

4
Pass the slides with your keyboard (or trackpad).
5
When you're done, remove your PDF presentation by clicking on the X or click on Stop sharing.

Make the PDF Presentation Downloadable

Making a PDF presentation downloadable is only possible if the document is being uploaded and then shared inside the event room.

If you want your PDF to be downloadable by your attendees, you can activate this option in your event Settings > Event Room.

If that box is checked, your attendees will be able to click on the download icon in the top-right corner.

Share a Powerpoint Presentation

To share a Powerpoint presentation in your event room:

1
Go to your Powerpoint presentation, click on Slide Show, then Set Up Slide Show.

2
Select Browsed by an individual (window) and click on Ok.

3
Start your presentation by selecting either Play from Start or Play from Current Slide.

You should start the slideshow before sharing your screen. Chrome detects the slideshow as a different application from the initial Powerpoint window. If you share your screen first and then start your slideshow, you will get a black screen in the event room. This is because technically the slide show is not the same application you've screen shared first.

4
Go back to your event room, click on the Share button, then Share screen.

5
Select the Window tab, select your Powerpoint presentation window and click on Share.

6
Set your Powerpoint presentation window to full screen.
If you have one screen, you can switch from your Powerpoint presentation window to your event room window to see your room, or you can externalize your sidebar to have it on another screen (mobile, tablet).
With one screen, do not minimize your Powerpoint presentation window, otherwise, your attendees won't be able to see it anymore.
If you have a second screen, you can have your event room on one screen and your Powerpoint presentation on the other screen.

7
Pass the slides with your keyboard (or trackpad).
8
When you're done, remove your Powerpoint presentation by clicking on the X or click on Stop sharing.

Livestorm Tip 👉 You can add automatic captions or subtitles to your Powerpoint presentation. To do so, go to the Slide Show tab and select Subtitle Settings. Choose the Spoken Language, the Subtitle Language, the desired position. You can also customize the design under System Caption Preferences.

Share a Google Slides Presentation

To share a Google Slides presentation in your event room:

1
Open your Google Slides presentation on a separate browser window.
2
Go back to your event room, click on the Share button, then Share screen.

3
Select the Window tab, select your Google Slides presentation window and click on Share.

4
Click on Present to start presenting your Google Slides presentation.
If you have one screen, you can switch from your Google Slides presentation window to your event room window to see your room, or you can externalize your sidebar to have it on another screen (mobile, tablet).
With one screen, do not minimize your Google Slides presentation window, otherwise, your attendees won't be able to see it anymore.
If you have a second screen, you can have your event room on one screen and your Google Slides presentation on the other screen.

5
Pass the slides with your keyboard (or trackpad).
6
When you're done, remove your Google Slides presentation by clicking on the X or click on Stop sharing.

Share a Keynote Presentation

To share a Keynote presentation in your event room:

1
Click on the Share button, then Share screen.

2
Select the Window tab, select your Keynote presentation window and click on Share.

3
Go to View and select Slide Only.

4
Hide the inspector (press Command+Option+I) and hide the toolbar (press Command+Option+T).
5
Set your Keynote presentation window to full screen.
If you have one screen, you can switch from your Keynote presentation window to your event room window to see your room, or you can externalize your sidebar to have it on another screen (mobile, tablet).
With one screen, do not minimize your Keynote presentation window, otherwise, your attendees won't be able to see it anymore.
If you have a second screen, you can have your event room on one screen and your PDF presentation on the other screen.

6
Pass the slides with your keyboard pressing fn+up/down arrow.
7
When you're done, remove your Keynote presentation by clicking on the X or click on Stop sharing.

Share a Presentation With a Video

To share your presentation with a video:

1
Use one of the above methods to share your presentation.
2
When you want to play your video, go to your event room, click on Share, and then Share a video.
If you were sharing a PDF presentation with the uploading method, you will have to stop sharing it before sharing your video as you can only share one media at a time.

3
Upload your video and click on Choose this media.
You can also paste a Youtube video link and then click on Play video.
We strongly recommend uploading your video before you start the event. The upload and processing time can take a little while depending on the size of the video.

4
Your video will play automatically in the room.
When you play a video, you don't have to stay connected to the room. You can just play your video and leave - the video will stay on stage and keep playing until the end.
If team members or guest speakers are wearing AirPods while a video is played, make sure to tell them NOT TO REMOVE them, not even one, as it will pause the video!

5
When your video is over, remove it from the room by clicking on the X at the top right corner.

6
Maximize the stream of your presentation again.

7
Go back to your presentation window and keep presenting.
